Kate Kinkead
Director, Writer
Kate Kinkead is a 23-year-old independent director and actress based out of Northern Virginia. "Off the Path" will be Kinkead's third film that she has directed. She was selected to pitch "Off the Path" at George Mason University and was awarded the Best Lookbook scholarship.
Alex Purdy
Producer
Off the Path is one of two films Alex Purdy is
producing this semester. He will receive his BA in
Film and Video Studies concentrating on Producing
and a minor in Photography from George Mason
University this year. Purdy specializes in cast
and crew coordination, location management, and
creative production.
Olivia Cunningham
Co-Producer
Olivia Cunningham is a nineteen year old film producer based in Northern Virginia. They are expected to graduate from George Mason University in 2024 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Film and Video Studies, concentrating in Producing, with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. This year they co-produced their first two films at Mason; however, they have previously produced, written, and edited their own personal projects.
L.J. Garcia
Director of Photography
​L.J. Garcia is a senior at George Mason University. He is majoring in film and video studies with a concentration in production (cinematography), and minoring in linguistics. L.J. loves to study languages, compose music, and work with his peers on set to capture and share meaningful stories.
Kate Sheridan
Costume Designer
Kate Sheridan is a film student at George Mason University with a concentration in directing and minor in Social Justice and Human Rights. They love being a storyteller and putting in the work to bring stories from ideas to fully realized films, and have done so in a number of capacities. Kate has worked on short films as a director, producer, sound mixer, writer, AD, DP, and head of costume, hair, and makeup. For Off The Path, Kate used costuming and makeup choices to help design the world the characters lived in, bring out their personalities, and overall work to fulfill the director's vision.

My name is Sophie Potts and I like to make art. I’m
a freelance Video editor, sound designer, and motion
graphics artist based out of Northern Virginia.
Dounia Sabah
VFX Artist
Dounia Sabah is passionate about all forms of art which is why she pursued a double degree—a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Production and Post-Production at George Mason University. She loves the magic of creating something that wasn’t there before and is committed to delivering strong design solutions through her multiple perspectives.
Sujay Khona
Colorist
Sujay Khona is a filmmaker from Chantilly, Virginia,
and a freshman at George Mason University. He
is majoring in Film and Video Studies as well as
Business. He also competes on the GMU Forensic
Speech team. He has loved working on Off the Path
and can’t wait to work on many more incredible
projects during his time here.
An Tran
Composer
An Tran is a classically trained pianist and violinist who currently attends George Mason University. He is currently pursuing music both in the fundamentals and technological aspects. While he does not have any distinct style of composition, he plans to pursue a well rounded education in as many genres as possible for his compositions.
